Colour me confused.ControlAir’s purpose to collect any personal data is to respond to your request for product help, quotation and processing of orders. The thing is, it doesn't look like that's the case based on how the parts are lined up, I tried to recreate this scenario in the tutorial and failed, then on top of this, the game thinks it should be able to connect the tank because it's green. Something to check, decouplers have two nodes very close to one another, it used to be possible to mistakenly attach the lower node instead of the top, which would then lead to issues connecting more objects.

If it had not detected a suitable attachment it should still be shaded red. Other things to note that don't add up, the part is translucent green, which indicates it can be placed. I appreciate this is kind of a side issue but the way these fuel tanks were replaced, you really shouldn't be seeing this in the current version of the game. What version of the game are you running? Did verifying the files alter the look of the fuel tank? If you enter a normal game, does your fuel tank look the same as that in the image you posted?

Of particular note here, your image shows the old FLT-100 but when I ran through the tutorial I had the new model. Presumably the tutorial was written prior to some part overhauls as a number of the parts are now deprecated. Hitting left alt twice did absolutely nothing different. However, when I got back in there, nothing had changed at all. I verified game files, and 5 items got re-downloaded.

This technique is usually not required for this type/level of construction but if there is one thing I know about the variations of software with hardware with user experience level, everyone seems to get their own flavor! To reiterate the instructions, then, is to select a fuel tank from the inventory and before trying to attach it to the decoupler (which I assume is properly attached to the capsule - if it is not, that may be part of your problem) hold Left-Alt as you try to place it to make it seek the programmed center node of the decoupler. Sometimes you need to hold down Left-Alt (a SECOND time in the example we have been discussing) to cause the part to SPECIFICALLY seek a node and maybe that will help place these parts for you.
